XEP does not issue such message so it must be something else. How are
you using XEP? Is this message persists when XEP is executed from the
command-line? What is your environment?

RG> Hi all,
RG> I have recently upgraded to XEP 3.7.8 from 3.6 and got the following warning
RG> message during a PDF creation:
RG> "The handle is invalid."
RG> I never saw this warning before the upgrade, and while the document still
RG> appears to have generated correctly, I am just curious as to the meaning of
RG> the message.
