    I was not able to reproduce the problem so some more information will
    be helpful. Could you send me a sample of the problematic document together
    with your fonts.xml off-list? Please keep the sample as small as possible.

    I suppose you are using a standard Times font used by XEP by default.
    Have you tried to render a text with 'minus' sign using single Times
    font with no alternatives?

    What codepoint are you using? Could it be something different from x002D?
    By the way, there is no glyph named 'minus' in Times, but there is a
