[xep-support] Re: XEP and DELPHI

Hi Kevin,

finally I was able to map the XEPCOM.dll interface to FreePascal/Lazarus.
While I was successful with mapping the direct Formatter-call, I was unable to use the "Config" or "Logger" things.
Your VBscript example was very helpful for me.
Can you extend this example to show me how to use a config.CreateFormatter call at least in VBscript.
And finally how to use a Logger in VBscript or in Delphi/FreePascal.

For all Delphi/Lazarus freaks I have added my Lazarus-sourcecode, hoping that there is somebody in the world who can assist me in using Config.CreateFormatter and Logger. :-)

Kind regards

Friedrich Kirch

Friedrich:

I do not have Delphi but frequently use the COM interface. We have it wired
into Word and Excel to export PDFs from these using various VB code calls. A
quick search shows this example which seems straightforward:

http://www.delphi-central.com/dynamicdll.aspx

Using the same technique, I am sure you could map the XEPCOm.dll interfaces
to Delphi named functions.

Hi Kevin,

I know the XEPCom.dll as a COM Interface.
But there are no DELPHI or FreePascal examples except C, C++, and some VB
sourcecodes.
That's why I am looking for somebody who uses XEPCom.dll within a DELPHI
program.

Friedrich:

The XEPWin Developer's kit contains XEPCOM.dll as a COM interface.

Hi,

is there anybody calling XEP/XEPWIN from a DELPHI or
FreePascal/Lazarus-Application?
Would share experiences here...

Kind regards
