[xep-support] Programmatically configuring COMPRESS option

Is it possibly to programmatically configure the COMPRESS option for
the PDF backend?

I am creating a formatter with:

Properties options = new Properties();
options.setProperty("CONFIG", "resource:/xep.xml");
Formatter formatter = new FormatterImpl(options);

I have tried passing options of "COMPRESS" and "PDF.COMPRESS" without success.
