Hi Patrick,

you are facing errors in the .NET XSLT transformation engine, XEP is not
involved at the stage you are seeing the error messages from.

That's because under all other circumstances, the buggy XSLT
transformation engine is not involved.

It's not XEP, it's Microsoft. It's a known bug, present in different
flavours in both MSXML and .NET XSLT.
