Hello viking,

It is not clear from your message whatever you already have common
fractions and asking how to represent them in XSL-FO or you want to
convert decimal fractions into the common ones. In the latter case you
have to perform such transformation outside of XEP (in XSLT for
example) since there is no such thing in XSL-FO as "represent decimal
fractions as common".

As for creating common fractions with XSL-FO - actually it is not
quite suitable for representation of mathematics. The best thing you
can do is render the whole formula as a table of two rows: nominators
in one row and denominators in another, block borders or borders
between cells used as solidus and plus/minus and other math signs
centered in the cells that span both rows. Another option is to draw
the whole formula in SVG either directly or by creating MathML first
and then using some third party tool to convert it to SVG.
