[xep-support] variable size images multi column page span="all"

    I have variable size images how can I span a two column page selectively? I
    need to determine the image size from an image attribute in the XML file.
    The span="all" feature wont allow me to use it outside the flow.

    Any ideas or thoughts most appreciated
