[xep-support] How to get XEP to fail on error

Hi. I would like to have xep fail when it finds an error such as a
missing image, etc.. With the errors, xep exits with a status of "0"
which 'make' and other tools determine as a success.

Any idea how to get xep to fail on all errors?
