				<fo:block space-after="12pt">Microsoft Corp has rewritten its Sender ID e-mail sender authorization specification, and amended related patent applications, to take into account the concerns of the open source software community and rival America Online Inc.</fo:block>

But they stress that simply confirming that the server that sent the email matches the domain its claims to come from does not do anything to stop spam, unless combined with other filters and reputation services.</fo:block>

				<fo:block space-after="12pt">Any new technology causes problems, but if the iSeries Nation "Sound Off" session at COMMON's fall user conference in Toronto last week was any indication, the May launch of the eServer i5 machines, the i5/OS operating system, and a new implementation of virtualization features caused customers serious headaches. </fo:block>
