Note, avoid the ImageMagick route since it will cause the EPS to become
rasterized. If you are okay with that, make sure to instruct EPS to
convert at an acceptable resolution.

You can script with ghostscript to convert to EPS directly to PDF,
preserving the vector nature of the graphic:
