RE: [xep-support] Problem generation PDF/A-1a compliant PDFs

Hi Kevin,

I already checked this in the documentation and I am validating the XSL-FO before I render it to PDF and there are no tablecells outside tablerows.
So that can not be the problem.
When I remove all tables from my document, the validator still fails but now without a decent message.
Adobes preflight says: PDF document is not compliant with PDF/A-1a (2005)
Incorrect PDF/A-1a conformance level (must be 'A')
In the trigger values: PDF/A ID: Conformance: B
But it doesn't tell me what the problem is.

Please advice.

Best regards,

Peter

Peter:

Check this in the documentation:
http://www.renderx.com/reference.html#Accessibility

"Adobe Acrobat's 'Accessibility check' plug-in fails if some table cells do not have a table row as the parent. Make sure that all table cells in your XSL-FO file are within table rows."

This may be the problem.

Subject: [xep-support] Problem generation PDF/A-1a compliant PDFs

Hi,

I'm trying to generate a PDF/A-1a document for a customer of ours.
I've put the following statements in the xep.xml <option name="ENABLE_ACCESSIBILITY" value="true"/> And in the XSL-FO I put in the following processing instructions after the xml pi and before the root element:
<?xep-pdf-pdf-a pdf-a-1a?>
<?xep-pdf-icc-profile
url('Q:/Workspaces/SDU/FO-tekstpockets/Productie-FO/config/AdobeRGB1998.icc'
)?>
But when I check the PDF conformance, it gives me an error on {THead} and {TBody}.
Is there something special I should do when I use tables in PDF/A-1a documents?
Do I have to put in some extra attributes on the tables?
Please advice me how I can resolve this problem.
BTW, I'm using XEP 4.18 on a Windows 7 machine.
And I'm checking PDF/A-1a conformance with Acrobat Professional 9.0 Preflight.
Thanx in advance,
Peter
