The dita-users <http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dita-users/> Yahoo Group
is the place to be for discussing all things DITA. The DITA Open Toolkit
<http://dita-ot.sourceforge.net/> that you downloaded is an open source
project that provides DITA to PDF transforms, among other things. Its
default FO output does not do indexes. However, the FO plugin (separate
download from that same project) is a donation from my employer
<http://www.idiominc.com> that uses XEP extensions for
production-quality PDF output, and that output does generate indexes.
Don't forget to check out the DITA Cover Page
<http://xml.coverpages.org/dita.html> .

Subject: [xep-support] DITA and XEP

Dita-OT-1.2.2, Saxon-6.5.5 and 8B, oXygen-7.2.0 (eclipse-3.1.2 plugin),
XEP-4.6 (current build)

Proficient with DocBook; new to DITA.

What is required to generate a PDF index in XEP similar to Docbook; is
there an xep.extensions stringparm for DITA ?

Lastly, what is a good list to join for a DITA newbie ?
