Java Application Server is not an application, it is a specification. The
applications mentioned (promise to) conform to the specification.

I think it is responsibility of a JVM vendor to ensure conformance to the
specification of JVM, not of developers to test their software with every
JVM version. Do you check whether 2 times 2 is still 4 on every new
computer you buy?
