Dear XEP support,

Do you have any thoughts on my earlier posted problem (below) yet?

Thanks,

Els

Subject: [xep-support] Hyphenation issue

Dear XEP people,

We have to comply with the following hyphenation restrictions (language=
UK):

1)Minimum of 3 characters at end-/beginning of a line
(=hyphenation-push-character-count="3"
hyphenation-remain-character-count="3"). This forms no problem.

2)No hyphenation for words less than 7 characters. Is there a possibility
(other than the above) to prevent words of 7 characters (and less) from
being hyphenated?

The only option I can think of is use the push-/ and -remain of both 4 (so
that the hyphenated word will be at least 8 characters), but I prefer to
leave these at "3", so I hope there is another way to solve this issue.

Thanks,

Els van Trigt,
