March 11th, 2005 — A new version of RenderX EnMasse, a server for high-performance formatting of XML documents. The new release adds SOAP interface to the formatting grid, allowing to format documents and data sheets directly from users' applications.
February 5th, 2005 — RenderX releases XEP 4.2, a new version of its XSL processor and accompanying tools. The new version features
· Containers with fixed absolute position can now have z-index property;
· Change bars extension is now supported;
· PDF/X documents can now be produced with varying conformance level of PDF/X-1a or PDF/X-3;
· ICC profile can now be embedded into documents;
· and other new features and improvements.
November 30, 2004 — RenderX releases XEP 4.1, a new version of its XSL processor and accompanying tools. The new version features
· Support for embedding of Adobe Compact Font Format (CFF) fonts;
· Improved memory management facilitating efficient resource allocation and uninterruptible execution in server environments;
· Reworked algorithms for automatic table layout;
· and other new features and improvements.
November 16, 2004 — SchemaSoft and RenderX, Inc. today announced a strategic alliance that will focus on producing a best-in-class print engine based on XML and non-XML input data, and high quality print output in various formats.
The joint solution from SchemaSoft and RenderX provides a system that enables organizations to process source documents, graphics or images of various formats using XSL FO (Extensible Stylesheet Language Formatting Objects), an open standard, and produce high quality print output. Under the terms of the agreement, SchemaSoft will build extensions for RenderX XEP software to handle additional input formats and produce a new set of output formats.
November 17, 2004 — RenderX releases a new version of RenderX EnMasse, a server for high-performance formatting of XML documents. The new release includes:
· ability to handle XSL Transformation and Processing on XEP nodes, thus eliminating the need for a separate XSLT processing step;
· examples of integrating EnMasse into Java Server Pages, ASP.NET environments, batch scripts for Microsoft operating systems;
· rewritten user's guide and installation instructions featuring case studies and detailed explanations.
October 25, 2004 — RenderX Docbench, a complete solution for documentation authors and stylesheets designers based on <oXygen/>xml editor and RenderX XEP, is available for purchase and downloading from RenderX on-line store.
Software components included into the package are tuned to work together, and provide a complete authoring environment which allows users to author books, articles, leaflets, forms, and to format it for both on-screen and paged media.
October 8, 2004 — RenderX announces release of a new line of publishing solutions. The solutions are based on the new version of RenderX XEP, Version 4, with many more features and performance improvements. Built on the foundation of XEP are:
· EnMasse, a scalable server for parallel processing of high volumes of formatting tasks;
· Docbench, a complete authoring environment.
October 5, 2004 — RenderX launches the new web site. The site's content is completely rewritten to match the new expanded range of RenderX offerings. It features
· live web-based demonstrations;
· numerous user stories to help visitors choose the best solution for their needs;
· detailed problem-oriented descriptions of tools and components.
